We are pleased to present, as a preview, the trailer of a short film that emerged from the REBUILD community of practice, specifically from the work with the media officers of ten municipalities during a three-day workshop in Benghazi last April, with the technical support of a group of Libyan filmmakers, Maven. This documentary aims to mark a shift: a new approach to storytelling, where local administrations speak about themselves, their challenges, and their commitment in an authentic and engaging way, fostering a stronger connection with their citizens and making them active participants in the process of change. Investing in media personnel training is a crucial step in strengthening trust between citizens and local administrations. Although this particular film showcases projects from only five municipalities due to space and time constraints, it represents all ten municipalities and, more broadly, Libya’s decentralization journey.
